Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang Predicts AI Will Generate 90% of World’s Knowledge – Here’s When

A sweeping shift in how humans produce and consume knowledge is coming fast, according to Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang.

In a new episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, Huang says that in a few years, machines will produce nearly all global information.

“And more and more knowledge in the world will be generated synthetically going forward. Until now, the knowledge that we have is knowledge that we generate, and we propagate, and we send to each other, and we amplify it, and we add to it, and we modify it, and we change it. In the future, in a couple of years, maybe two or three years, 90% of the world’s knowledge will likely be generated by AI.”

Huang highlights that the incoming shift in the production of knowledge is not only inevitable but also acceptable.

“But it’s just fine… And the reason for that is this. Let me tell you why. It’s because what difference does it make to me that I am learning from a textbook that was generated by a bunch of people I didn’t know… to knowledge generated by AI computers that are simulating all of this and re-synthesizing things. To me, I don’t think there’s a whole lot of difference.”

He notes that the core requirement for all knowledge remains unchanged, regardless of its origin.

“We still have to fact-check it. We still have to make sure that it’s based on fundamental first principles. And we still have to do all of that, just like we do today.”
