The chief executive of the world’s most valuable company believes one surprising major could ultimately drive success for young people in the age of AI.
In a new All-In Podcast interview, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang calls on young people to develop AI skills amid concerns of youth unemployment in the country.
According to Huang, even employees are being asked to upskill and become AI experts.
“The one thing that I will say to young people who are coming out of school, who are concerned, who are anxious about AI, is to be an expert in using AI. We all want our employees to be experts at using AI, and it’s not trivial. And so knowing how to specify, not to over-prescribe, leaving enough room for the AI to innovate and create while we guide it to the outcome we want, all of that requires artistry.”
The Nvidia executive also notes that behind the artistry is the English language, and with the rapid rise of AI, English has now become the ultimate programming language.
“I still believe that deep science, deep math, language skills, as you know, language is the programming language of AI.
And so, as it turns out, it could be that the English major could be the most successful.
And so I think I would just advise whatever, whatever education you get, just make sure that you’re deeply, deeply expert in using AIs.”
