A listing service for flexible workplace solutions says it has identified key regions in the country spearheading AI job growth.

In a new study, CoworkingCafe looked at 300 metropolitan statistical areas and studied AI job postings, the average salary for AI-related jobs and four other factors to find out which cities are hotbeds for building a career in artificial intelligence.

Topping the list is San Jose, California, with 14,044 AI job postings from November 2024 to November 2025 and an average salary of $215,720.

“Silicon Valley anchors the US AI economy. Here, AI work is exceptionally concentrated, appearing at more than six times the national average to make this the most AI-saturated large metro in the country.”

Next up is New York, adding 15,018 AI job postings over the same time frame, with an average salary of $150,778.

“AI roles make up a far smaller share of the local workforce than in Silicon Valley, where specialization runs far deeper.”

Landing in the third spot is Seattle, posting 12,726 new AI jobs and an average salary of $169,633.

“Seattle strikes a balance between Silicon Valley’s intensity and New York’s breadth: the metro added 12,726 AI jobs to rank third nationally, and AI roles are nearly three times as common locally as they are nationwide, signaling a sustained and meaningful concentration.”

At number four is San Francisco, adding 8,541 AI jobs paying an average salary of $177,584. Fifth is Dallas-Fort Worth, creating 6,005 AI-related jobs that pay $128,572 on average.

Taking the sixth spot is Washington D.C., adding 5,731 new AI jobs with an average pay reaching $145,455. Seventh is Austin, posting 3,765 new AI jobs that come with an average salary of $130,439.

Rounding out the top ten list are Atlanta with 4,401 new AI jobs and an average salary of $122,501, Charlotte with 2,237 new AI jobs and an average salary of $127,363 and Raleigh with 1,683 new AI jobs and an average salary of $124,908.
