Robert Kiyosaki Issues Warning on AI Deepfakes of Himself Claiming Gold Will Crash Next Month

Rich Dad Poor Dad author Robert Kiyosaki sounds the alarm about a deepfake video using his image and likeness circulating on a popular video hosting site.

In a new post on X, Kiyosaki says he recently spotted a YouTube clip showing a synthetic version of himself predicting that gold prices will collapse in the coming weeks.

The best-selling author says he never made such a prediction.

    “PLEASE BE AWARE

AI creates FAKE PEOPLE…just as the FED creates FAKE MONEY.

Just saw a YouTube video with me saying gold will drop by 50% in December.

    I did not say that.”

He says the effort and intent behind such fabrications are alarming.

“Why would some PERVERT waste so much time and effort creating a FAKE ROBERT KIYOSAKI making a FAKE FINANCIAL PREDICTION is disturbing….for me….and all of us.”

Kiyosaki tries to inject humor into the situation while underscoring how easily reputations can be manipulated.

“If they are going to create lies about me….Why not say ‘ROBERT KIYOSAKI used to be a porn star with a huge unit?’ I’d like that.”

He closes by urging people to stay vigilant as AI tools make it easier to fabricate convincing video and audio.

“As a wise man once said: ‘Life is what you pretend it to be.’ Be careful. Be aware of false profits and false porn stars.”

Last week, cybersecurity firm Bitdefender found that consumers fear deepfakes more than AI’s potential to take away jobs. Meanwhile, new research showed that 77% of anti-fraud professionals have witnessed an acceleration in deepfake-based social engineering attacks over the last two years.
