Google Launches Gemini Enterprise As Jensen Huang Warns China Winning the AI Adoption Race

Google is opening a new front in the global AI race, unveiling Gemini Enterprise as a workplace platform designed to embed artificial intelligence into every corporate workflow.

CEO Sundar Pichai calls Gemini Enterprise “the new front door for AI in the workplace,” describing it as a conversational platform that lets employees chat with company data, automate internal processes, and deploy AI agents grounded in enterprise context.

Pichai says Google Cloud has surpassed a $50 billion annual run rate, with 13 product lines each generating more than $1 billion in revenue. About 65% of its cloud customers now use AI products, including nine of the ten largest AI labs and nearly all AI unicorns.

Gemini Enterprise, built on Google’s most advanced Gemini models, allows teams to integrate their documents, data, and tools in one secure environment. It also includes a library of pre-built agents and frameworks for developing custom AI assistants, part of what Pichai calls a full-stack approach spanning infrastructure, research, models, and products.

The launch comes just as Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang warns that China is moving faster in applying AI across industries, benefiting from lighter regulation and a culture of rapid technological adoption.

“However, their open source models are well ahead of us. And then on the application layer, we have to be quite mindful because their applications are better, fast-moving, their society is very quick in adopting new technology, and they’re under-regulated at the industrial level. And so the applications in China are advancing incredibly fast.”

Huang says he is “quite concerned” that US firms could fall behind if they focus too heavily on model development instead of deployment.

“I hope that American companies and American society are going to be fast in adopting AI applications, because ultimately, this industrial revolution wins at the AI application layer, at the diffusion layer.”
